Avatar troubles...

When I try to upload my avatar from my machine,

I get this message:

Anyone else have this happen to them? Anyone know why it happens? I've been trying to fix my avatar for a while, and it just doesn't seem to be working.

I had the same problem.

So I just uploaded my avatar to some webspace (either ISP provided or a free service like www.uploadit.org ) and then chose to "Link to off-site Avatar" and put in the url for the uploaded file.

I've tried poking around with the settings...can't quite seem to figure out why it won't allow uploads...looks like offsite linking is the only workaround for the moment.

isn't it better for this site if the avatars are stored elsewhere anyway?
more space for messages
