  • Please advise which site this is.....that's 3 guys calling of their stack on the flop, and all of them drawing dead...in PLO ffs.......that's not easy.

I am immediately transferring funds to this site.
  • Horribad call preflop by OP balanced out by 2 TERRIBAD calls by villains...

I live the calls with the open ended straight draws on a paired and flush board with no flush redraws....

    What site pls!?!?!

Meh...IMHO it is OK to set / straight mine during rebuy period for upto a single pot raise. Guys stack off way too light during the rebuy section to make this a fold. I play any hand that can hit a flop decent, including Richards hand (during the re-buy period anyhow).

I am not calling here to often, even if it is a microstake rebuy. Most times our flush draw is dead and are up against an overpair.

Even a dry 8xxx on that flop is barely a 3-2 dog (10 outs 2x).

But guess this is a microstake rebuy, and most player aren't familiar with omaha. Everyone outside of OP absolutely BUTCHED that hand as soon as the flop hit.

Doesn't make much of a difference of the stake....I'd do the same in a $30+R.

Agreed, but I'll get it in every time as a 3-2 favourite, especially during the rebuy period.

Granted, most of the time, you're not getting much on this flop (micro buy-in or not) most of the time against these hands....likely a couple value bet calls on the flop and turn.

But I've seen guys stack off on draws against paired boards in every level of PLO during the rebuy period.

PLO+R I call light preflop, wait to hit a hand hard, and hammer the pot, hope to hold on.
  • Meh, set-mining is EV+ when villains have more chips then you and you can double through.

In this instance, OP was chip leader. Most times he would be donating. The only way I see this as EV+ is that everyone called pre, giving better odds to call.

Meh, I guess due to it being a rebuy, I can see it. Would I? Not really, but then again if you looked me up on OTR I am a spew monkey, as I can't seem to not drink when playing poker and omaha is like my crack....

Edit - looking at that hand again, I still don't know what any one was thinking... I mean, no one could think that 78xx would be in OP's range? As soon as OP potted it on the flop I would've dumped my hand so fast. He isn't potting into that many people light....
  • heh, didn't have a plan for this preflop, mostly I was just bored and wanted to see a flop with my newly earned chips. Then on the flop I felt like my 7s were good enough blockers but I didn't expect to be that far ahead ^^' When the last guy called on the flop I saw dollar signs in front of my eyes since he almost always has a draw.

It's a betsson tournament btw and I ended up busting 7th on the final table (out of 140) after getting it in with the nut straight on the flop against a less nutty straight and a mediocre FD. gg me

Just showing how I play rebuy's.....freezeout, different story.

It's definately a -ev hand, but when you hit hard (ie. this hand), during the rebuy phase, people will pay you off with draws, no matter what level it is.

    FYI....PLO cash I suck......tourney I do decent.

Cool. Rebuys are a different animal for me. I rarely (read never) play rebuys.

I am a freeze out or cash player. Rebuys are a touch to nuts for me. If I play with a LAGTARD, it hope to play them on the cash table...lol
