Pocker tracking softwares
I recently tried the Pockertracker trial version. It provides ample statistics 'bout my winnings and my poker tendencies. I was thinking of getting the full software and I would have liked to get some feedback regarding the profitability of this program.
I am by no means playing in high-stakes cash games. In fact, I only recently made the jump from MTTs to cash games, because I thought tourneys would be a good way to start building a bankroll.. I started with 50$ on Stars and on PartyPoker and now have over 200$ on both sites. With this "healthy" bankroll I decided to start playing exclusively cash games, as I thought they would provide more profit for me (and I am pleased to say that they do, in fact).
I am now able to play (and win $$$) on 4 tables at once, usually on very low-limit tables (something like 2¢/4¢ or 5¢/10¢, depending on my mood and other factors). I soon realized that note-taking and scrutinizing opponents in these limits didn't fare as well as playing solid poker on 4 tables at a time without taking substantial notes.
So there, the background has been laid for the following questions:
1. Would PockerTracker substantially enhance my profits, knowing I make 8$/hour on average while multitabling low-limits cash-games? Is there a monthly fee for PockerTracker (or other similar programs)?
2. In your opinion, is it best to multi-table low limits or play in just one bigger game?
3. Are cash games better than MTTs to build a bankroll?
4. Does PockerTracker helps with regards to table selection?
5. Have you read "Mike Caro's Most Profitable Hold'em Advice"?
Alright, sorry for the somewhat lengthy introduction
Thanks in advance for your answers and/or comments!
Cheers, UnderTheGun

PokerTracker doesn't suddenly make you a better player and is almost useless until you build up a largish database. It can help you identify trends with certain players but over 30-50 hands variance is still a large factor.
There is not monthly charge, it's a one time cost.
I prefer to multi-table because I like the flexibility to come and go from any table without 'stopping' the session (plus it gives you MORE hands to build your DB from). I generally start with 6 tables and as I get tired, I can decrease the number of tables to eventually one if I want. But that's just my opinion, yours can certainly vary.
Less variance at cash. But your wins are always smaller. With MTT's you could have one big score and then not cash due to suck-outs for a long while, whereas with Cash, you get sucked out on, you can re-buy instantly and keep playing if the game is good.
I suppose if you joined a table and was able to look up in your hand DB your experience playing the players at the table then it could. I've never used it this way however.
No but I can't imagine Mike Caro would have much to say about online poker being that he's known as the guy who teaches people about live tells.
NOTE: Some sites do not approve of you using tracking software while connected to them. I believe PS and FTP are 2 of those sites. So just something more to think about.
Oh yeah that's right, I was thinking of apps like Sharkscope. Brain is a little fuzzy.
1. itll enhance your profits if you use it properly. to review your game, and to review the games ofyour opponent. there is no monthly fee.
2. depends pretty heavily on what games your playing and how good you are at multitabling. your going to have to be more specific to get any meaningful response.
3. neither is "better". MTTs are much more volatile...which can be a good thing if you run good, a bad thing if you run bad. cash games offer a more steady and constant growth rate. really it boils down to which one your better at and which one you enjoy more which in turn will lead you to wanting to improve more.
4. if you have a database you can see which players are overly loose or overly agressive. you can see which players are losers and who are winners.
5. no, but ive read a lot of Mike Caros stuff. what I like about Caros stuff is that they offer a very good fundamental way of thinking about the game. a lot of level 1 and level 2 thinking that every player needs to start with. that said, its not like any of his stuff is must read but it cant hurt.
