I'm sure you could get a radio-controlled car from Radioshack (or the company formerly known as) and convert it.
The store that has become should have no relation to Radio Shack.....they don't carry nearly the amount of shit that a Radio Shack did so you can't make your own cables, get a decent soldering kit, buy plain LED's to install in geektastic ways. Totally pissed off.
Only saving grace is I live in downtown Toronto so I'm about 8 blocks away from Active Surplus which has ........ everything. Need 10 inch tweezers.....yup. motors for electric race cars....yup. HDMI cable for 5 bucks....... fuzzy dice, 5 1/2 inch floppy drives (yeah, I'm that old), Big ass furry gorilla suit....

I'm familiar with Active Surplus. I did my PhD at U of T and we bought a lot of our ICs and cables from them.
I was merely suggesting buying a random RC vehicle and changing the chassis to look like a Zamboni. I'm sure "The Source by Circuit City" carries RC vehicles, and you can get everything else you need (duct tape, random pieces of wood and plastic, paint) at your local hardware store.

Sorry, have very hard feelings over the loss of the Shack.
Wonder if there is an NHL branded Zamboni out there......Google here I come
that table's pretty awesome, although it would be better if it was an oval table and not that kidney bean shape. looks like a great felt, but with it being white i would think it would get dirty pretty quickly
