  • this might be my problem with cash games but tourney i do this all day long. if i can double up, i can pick on weaker players for the first half.
  • If I really thought he had anything that dominated me, I know I could have folded. As it was, with the flat call to my small raise pre flop, then leading out for the min just to shove against my raise....I really couldn't put him on much more than a pair after the flop. My thinking was if he had a PP wouldnt he have likely raised me preflop. In my mind, atleast in this situation...he tried to make it look strong in the wrong way...off chance he has a set,or even outflopping me with 2 pairs, I am paying him off. Is this line of thinking correct?
  • At these stakes, yes. People generally play badly and think TP is teh nuts. More over, the only possible set you could put him on here is 88, as JJ and KK would mostly raise after a limper to protect his hand. Even still, It is probably unlikely that villian limped in with 88 in this spot. Stacking off in this spot at these stakes generally is a +EV play. You'll find yourself up against weaker K's, SD, FD, some ridiculous holdings like QJ etc. so often that its worth it to once and a while run into a set or top 2.

If the stakes were higher ie 100-500NL you would really have to think twice, as I don't see you getting it all in very good. At those stakes, people aren't generally stacking off with KQ/KT in this spot. Nice hand.
