holding trips with flush draw on flop...

not sure if this is the right spot to put this

but what do you do if you hold trips off the flop (NLHE) and there is a flush draw.

how do you guys bet?

help! it happens alot and I either over bet (he folds), or check (he catches flush) everytime.

how do you guys play this?

    I'm not positive on the percentages, but I believe it 17% or so that your opponent is going to flop the flush, and about 30% that he flops a strong draw.

    In this spot, you HAVE to bet out, minimum 2/3 to full size pot bet. If he's chasing, you want him to pay big for it. Last thing you want to do is give him a free/cheap turn card. If the turn comes a dangerous card that catches him, you can either put him on the flush by checking, or putting out another 1/2 pot bet or so to see where you stand.

    Pray for the board to pair. At the low limits especially, opponents can be blinded by small to medium flushes and miss when you boat up.
