  • Unless he borrows Mom's car, and gets a 6mo. advance on his allowance for the buyin!
  • So, no one else on here going... It's only a $50. buyin tomorrow, expect 45+...

  • Got this email from Curtis today. Anybody know what is going on? Compuease?

"The Ontario Poker League on a hiatis until further notice.

We are taking a break to reassess our structure and membership attendance.

    Stay tuned for further info."
  • wtf, I was planning on going to the next one...
  • I hate it when I predict things.

Too much of a good thing.

Got the same e-mail. Not sure what you mean Wetts, somebody rat them out?
  • No.

Orangeville had a good thing going.

They were running monthly and getting over a hundred people.

When they moved and went weekly simultaneously it was only a matter of time before they would lose their rec players, and what could be considered the best "real" MTT in Ontario all of a sudden becomes a weekly game of a few people a la Ching Hill.

Go back to monthly, in a better location than Belwood - and everything is right again.

    At least bi weekly.
  • I have no more info other than the email myself...
  • i was at the Jan 10..i think there was only about 25 of us..NFL playoffs?...but could a raid of a guelph club be part of the reason of the hiatus?..probably not...every week , a tourney, may have taken its toll, plus the Nfl going to playoffs and the the Super Bowl...maybe it will reopen in Feb..sure hope so..i really enjoy playing in this league..once every 3 weeks with a 50 $ buy in would be a good compromise..then the married guys could go..lol...the tournements that curtis runs are sure better than the weekly fish fries at the Brantford Casino..oh well i guess my next live game could be the 225$ deep stack at GBH at the end of Feb. cheers...Martin Bandle.:)

Sounds to me like, breakfast at "Chez Wetts" followed by a little cards at the new locale.

    Works for me
