Are there any poker clients that work for Macs? I have been looking, but haven't come across one. Has anyone heard of anything that might be in the works?
Perhaps iPoker in particular might work on any OS because it's web-based (I believe Javascript), i.e. there's no client software to download to run specifically in Windows, Mac OS, Linux, or whatever. So it should work as long as your browser can handle it.
There is some confusion here. I also have a Mac, and i believe he is talking about a poker program called iPoker(which has been around for years, and is quite good). http://homepage.mac.com/scenario/iPoker/default.htm
Ahh sorry, I think ScottyZ and myself were talking about the iPoker website here: http://www.ipoker.net/. It's a web based online poker site that uses Java in a web browser as the "client". Most other sites require you to download software and run in on your wintendo machine.
pokerroom.com is a very good site, that is filled with Mac users. It's one of the few sites that's compatible. It is also a web-based Java program, and although I'm not familiar with ipoker I can almost guarantee that it will have more players and games.
They've recently added NL multi-table tournaments as well, which usually attract at least 100 players, running a bunch every night at different buy-in's... $50, $30, $20, $5, etc... and a $100 multi every Sunday.
Hope that helps,

ps: This is where I play, though not as often and not as high as I used to. If you see me in a multi, say hi! (Same username).

If you are running Windows XP, you don't have Java installed by default, and you can either install Microsoft Java or Sun's Java.
I prefer Sun's: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp
