PokerForum.ca Has A New Owner
Hi Everyone,
Over the past few months Greg and I have started working on several large projects (websites in other industries) and prioritizing my time was starting to become a major issue for me. Recently I have been feeling that I have been neglecting the forum a little and haven't been putting in my best work here to make this the best poker forum for Canadians. I felt the best descision for us and for the forum was to sell it to someone that could give it the attention it needed. Which is why over this past weekend Greg and I sold the forum to a new owner: Jesse (Registered as scoops on the forum).
When Jesse first approached me about buying the forum he mentioned that he had an extensive background in Vbulletin and was also from Canada (out in BC). When I first took over the forum from Neil (sloth) one of the things I wanted to do most was to make this more than just a forum and more of a site that covered everything to do with poker in Canada. Unfortunately I had no experience working with vbulletin and this task turned out to be much more complicated than I had originally thought. Also, with many other projects on the go, I simply didn't have the time to put these changes into the forum. Fortunately after speaking with Jesse a few times he seems to have a similar vision for the site, but actually has the technical know-how to make it happen. So, I am passing my banhammer over to him and hope you can give him a nice "non-kristy-sea-like" poker forum welcome.
I will still hang around here posting but the administration aspects will now be taken over by Jesse.
Thank you all for your support of this forum over the years that I have been here and making me feel welcomed at the several events I had an opportunity to attend. I have met some great people on this forum and am sure will continue to see many of you ( / donk away money to you) at events in the future.

Graham, thanks for your great leadership during your all too brief reign as CPFmeister. You always seemed to be out there finding new sites for me to lose my money at, as a new CPF league was formed. I didn't have much time here under my belt before you took over from sloth but I am fairly certain things are as good as ever here. It's always easier to fuck up a good thing than it is to improve it so congrats to you.

Thanks everyone for making this forum what it is, because after all, without the members like yourself this forum is nothing!
I have a number of ideas to make this forum better for you the members. We'll save that for another thread as I would also like to get feedback on any major changes.
With it being Christmas time I'm limited with the amount of time I can put into the site right now but am in the process of having the site moved to a faster server.
Also hoping to get some private tournaments setup.
BTW I'll be sure to let you know when I'm playing online drunk so you can come try and take my money!!
Looking forward to getting to know y'all and play some tournaments together.

This is an important tradition that I expect Scoops will observe. Also if you could be wearing any sort of animal ears..or maybe just some sweet nipple tassles..well I'm sure that will bring you good luck in your adminship.
