Hey, my AA held up!

2/5 game last night, in the SB and get AA; raised to $35 by MP followed by a call so I bump it to $150. MP pushes for $300 total followed by a snap call and "I think to myself, what the fcuk??". What was great was I just added $100 to my stack the previous hand. MP had 1010 and other player AK. Somehow my Aces held up for a $900+ pot. Have to say this is the biggest pot I have seen with aces before.

Didn't hold on to the additional chips for very long. On the button and dealt AKs. Raise it to $35 and get four callers. Flop comes 10dJhQd. MP bets $105 and its folded to me so I make it $210 (he only has about $250 behind). He pushes and I snap call expecting to see another AK. He turns over JKd for the royal flush draw. Turn is 5s and the river brings the 4d. Back to even :(

  • same club, a couple months later, raised by MP to $40 with one caller. Decide to push to $200 as MP position is deep (around $600) and I have him covered. He goes into deep thought and decides to call, other player mucks. Flop comes K high, I decide to push and he insta calls. Flips over KK... ouch!.... turn is an A, ouch, ouch... $1,200 pot to me :)
