Thanks Johnnie for a great day of poker. And congratulations to Mario for a well deserved victory.

Well deserved? You're kidding right? How did the hell did he beat you when you kept flopping quads??

GG Mario. Folding pocket 10's to you next time.

Johnnie, thanks for a great day. Had a good time and met up with some of you I don't normally get a chance to.

    Moose, thanks for the Scotch!!
  • Great time as always... Thanks Johnnieh...
  • Thanks everybody for coming out to my first MTT! I think the day played out really well, even though I had NO CARDS for the entire tournament. I was able to steal the blinds with KK in the cash game....weeeee!!!

Congrats to Mario and the other money finishers. It was very cool of you guys to ship a bubble prize to 5th place. Very classy.

I need to give a huge THANK YOU to Moose. This tournament would not have happened if it wasn't for his help. The extra table top was great for table #2 and what can I say about the chips he let me borrow. Simply beautiful., both in quantity and quality.
On top of the tournament help, he was generous enough to bring several different bottles of Scotch for us to try. mmm....Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

    YOU RULE MOOSE!

Ok....now I need to rant a bit. I took the dog for a walk after the tournament last night and noticed that one of my reflective pylons at the end of my driveway had been run over and twisted like a pretzel. I know it was late, and they are hard to see, but it does suck that I have to go out and get a new one. They're not expense ($30) and I hope the culprit will own up and help pay for it. If anybody has any info on the matter please PM me.
Let me stress that I'm not angry, God knows I've had my share of accidents.
  • Great Trny Johnnie, thanks for hosting! Such a good day that you've earned my 2nd post.

Me and zoolook's names are clean, we didn't even park close to the driveway!:)
  • After examining my back bumper...it MIGHT have been me. Have a new paintless spot on the back bumper it seems. Sorry Johnnie, how would you like it paid back?
  • Which one was crushed? As you face your house the left hand one was still there when I left.

Facing the house, on the left. Closest to the huge pine tree on my lawn.

    Everybody check your bumpers!

Okay, so it WASN'T me...I was on the right hand side of the driveway.

This gave me quite a good laugh. Maybe Moose will share at his next tournament.

I think it was whoever was parked behind Mario, as they probably backed into the driveway (and clearly missed) and turned at the same time.
  • Congrats to Mario. You da man.

Thanks Johnnie for a great time. I played terrible from start to finish but it was still fun to break up the holidays with some poker.

Btw I parked on the street on the right side so I'm not your man.
  • I was parked in front of Mario, so I am sure it wasn't me. This is the reason I started collecting the dollar from everyone at my tournaments.

And I thought you were gonna supply hookers and blow. :(
  • At $1 a pop? "Ok guys, here's your one line of blow, share it amongst yourselves and don't mind the salt crystals. Oh, and here's a copy of hustler from 1985 from the thrift store."

Hustler was great back then. It was well before the girls started peeing on each other.

I have a feeling it was the Wilson boys. Their mom is going to be pissed when she see the damage on the car.....
  • Hrmm..

I parked behind Mario after moving so Eric could leave, but I don`t recall dinging anything... and I left before moose, but I`ll double check.

It`s a reflective pylon? I'm pretty sure I would have heard / felt / been tipped over by it. I'll double check my car.

    Mark
  • Cmon Mark seriously? If you had really hit the pylon, it would have been fine and your car would have been totalled.

    You always PARKED behind Mario?

We also left after Moose, but there weren't many left after we left, Moose, Mario, Mark, Trevor, can't think of more but my memory is not perfect... If it was the left one and Moose is sure it was still there when he left, doesn't that narrow it down a lot?
Hmm, this is a whodunit, and in what room....
  • I got witnesses. Trevor was in the driveway when I left and Mario was in his car right behind me.
  • Thanks for the game Johnnie. As expected, it was lots of fun.

As for the pylon, I was parked on the road, and left relatively early. At that time, Trevor was parked in front of me (he moved from the driveway to the road when Eric left), so it should not have been him either.
  • I received an email from the culprit. Like I thought, it was an honest mistake and there is no damage to their vehicle. I know they are hard to see, especially in dark after a long day of poker. I'm sure most of you didn't even notice them during the day.

I've managed to bend the pylon back into a reasonably straight position so no harm done.

Thanks again for coming all, see you at the next one!

  • Thanks for cheering me up Johnnie.
Can always count on you. :)
  • Happy to hear the crazy pylon-snapping lunatic came clean and Johnny was able to mold the mangled object back into shape.
