Trip To Windsor
So, I'm going back to Windsor on Friday to look for an apartment (again; last trip = epic fail on that front). In that vain, as for some reason people who run apartment buildings aren't interested in seeing you Friday night, I'm going to end up at the casino again. In booking my rental car, a thought occured to me: anyone else in Toronto, or somewhat near there on the way to Windsor, feel like going on a Casino run? Drop me a msg or post on this thread
Comments
-Friday: apartment hunting sucked until the comedy of the last one; dropped in at school; went to casino, got a piece of the bad beat jackpot, pissed away initial buyin over the course of 4 hours, left up $100
-Saturday: really, does anyone give a shit? more apartment hunting, but actually good places this time, now I have to make a decision.
Only poker hand of note from the night, literally, was the BBJ. 1/2NL. 8 at the table. UTG makes it $12, we all fold except SB who calls. Flop Ad5sAc. SB checks, UTG CB's $25, SB slowly calls. Turn Ah. SB checks, UTG checks. River 4h. SB checks, UTG bets another $25, SB quickly flat calls, flips over AsJh and says "I really hope you've got 10's or better", to which UTG flips over QcQd and everyone celebrates. UTG got $3400, SB got $1700, rest of us got $315. Oh, and I got my very own players card as I hadn't bothered to get one yet, so they made me one (which apparently made the normally long delay even longer as the floor manager was somewhat lacking in typing skills). So even with losing my $200, left the night up and was happy for the fun.
I'll post the story about the funny apartment in the Off Topic Lounge.
Rules at Casino Windsor (and seems to be fairly standard elsewhere) is that if you lose with Aces Full of Tens or better than you win the jackpot. Only other rule to it is you have to use both of your hole cards, so had a K or Q hit the board, it wouldn't have counted as his J kicker would have been counterfeited.
