Member of the Poker Elite, “Yukon” Brad Booth, Appointed Official Spokesperson and Head of Poker Development for GR88.com
GR88.com Announces Official “Poker” Face to it’s Growing Team

VANCOUVER November 12, 2009 – New online gaming site, GR88.com (pronounced Great Eight .Com) is proud to announce that it has retained renowned poker player, “Yukon” Brad Booth, as the site’s official spokesman and Head of Poker Development. Known from his recurring appearances on NBC’s Poker After Dark, National Heads-Up Poker Championship and for a memorable bluff against Phil Ivey on Game Show Network’s High Stakes Poker where Brad sat down with a million dollars cash, Brad has established himself amongst the poker fans as one of their favorite Poker Pro’s to watch. With Yukon Brad’s past experiences and incredible ability to read his opponents, he is expected to bring a fresh and unique playing style to GR88.com.

First breaking in to poker’s elite on the forerunners of today’s modern online gaming sites like GR88.com, Brad was one of hundreds of players who fell victim to coordinated fraud by unscrupulous, cheating opponents which was documented on CBS’s 60 Minutes news program. Because of that experience, Brad values fair gaming practices above all else, and it is this commitment that provides the foundation for his partnership with GR88.com.

“Yukon Brad’s talent, undeniable work ethic, and desire for fairness makes him the perfect partner of GR88.com. Our site offers players around the world premium poker and casino games, programs and tournaments all set within a secure and trust-worthy environment,” says Peter Karroll, CEO of International Arts Management, the force behind GR88.com.

Brad is a mainstay in the biggest cash games in Las Vegas casinos, playing in the staggering side action (from $10/20 No Limit Hold ‘Em to $4000/$8000 Mixed Limit games in the Bellagio’s ultra high stakes Bobby’s Room) with the world’s top players including Phil Laak, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, and the late Chip Reese. Expanding upon his poker-playing repertoire, Brad has consistently dominated in side games, and whose tournament winnings approaches one million dollars.

  • His audio interview on that site is really interesting:

    - Traumatized by Ultimate Bet. His infamous bluffs kept getting called by the super-users. He admitted that he didn't have the discipline to quit, even though Patrik Antonius told him there was something bad going on after Patrik lost $500K.

    - I beat him in a heads-up game during last year's WSOP, but he didn't play at this year's WSOP! The rumour of him going busto is true as he took the year off and missed the most juicy series of the year.
  • he actually played at a 5/5 game in downtown toronto on Nov 1 (Bay Street Poker Club). The guys that run the game know him and he agreed to play. Not sure how it turned out.
  • I have been playing at Gr88 for a couple weeks? now...since I heard "rumor" Brad was moving there. I think it is a great move for Gr88, as they are "local", as is Brad..gives a bit more of a home feel to it. Hopefully it will also prove good for the Big Slick Poker Tour.

Congrats on the move Brad! Good luck at the BCPC's!
  • he is confirmed busto. I have an insider who told me
  • Everyone likes a story about a player down on his luck. He wasn't busto when I sat beside him, Karhim and Dave Cung while they played 25-50 PLO a month ago.

His company pays me on time and hey, I know very few poker players out there that haven't gone broke a few times.

Bottom line, he is employeed at a great salary, he has over 700k in tourney wins and was long and still to many considered one of the best cash game players out there.

Why isn't anyone talking about the 4 million (some say 5) shit kicking Durr got handed to him in the last few weeks by some young kid? I have heard it from more than a few insiders.........

Thanks Jon..I was trying to find a polite way of asking how his personal bankroll had anything to do with the career move in discussion... Whether or not he is busto doesn't much matter...that being said, he is still playing poker for a living, and seems to be living just fine...so...??
  • Ive had a chat with Brad Booth a few times recently, and he is a nice guy. I don't get why people are ragging on him so much, so much drama and flame over what he does. Like Dennis had said, who cares if he has busted? Busting means to me that he is just breaking even with what he first started with back in the day. And he worked his way up there to where he was, and to get the name he has, and he can easily do it again because of the amount of skill and talent he has. I can guarantee that if Brad ever did bust, he would be back on his feet in no time.
