What are your top 5 shows that you must watch. Mine right now (in no particular order) are:

Entourage
Dexter
Weeds
Californication
Dragon's Den

Comments

  • Heroes
    Generation Kill
    NCIS
<not really sure of any other "Must see" shows>
    Dragon's Den (50/50)
  • Dexter
    Criminal Mind
NCIS (the original, the LA series is not measuring up)
Stargate Universe (liking it so far, but may change my mind in time)
not sure about a fifth one. I watch a lot of TV, probably too much, but more into a good movie than tv series.
  • in no order also

    survivor

    amazing race

    dragon's den (shit , i missed this week's)

in 2 weeks, new season of dog the bounty hunter

    wwe:)
  • House
    Dexter
    CSI NY
    True Blood
The Dual or Similar MTV shows (embarrassment, ITT).

Lost would be in there but it tilts me how infrequently they decide to bring on new seasons.

I dont really like Californication with the exception of all the nudies.
  • I'm mostly not into dramas so my list is mostly skewed toward comedy...

    1. The Big Bang Theory -- the only show I really look forward to every week
    2. Two and a Half Men -- how do they show reruns of this at 7:00 when kids are watching? Very funny but also very raunchy for a prime-time network show.
    3. 24 -- I only watched last season but really enjoyed it
    4. Family Guy -- some of the best and worst moments in TV comedy
    5. The Office -- not as great lately but I still enjoy it

After 5 I would have a tough time naming another current show that I really enjoy. How I Met Your Mother would probably be there because they make fun of us Canadian hosers a lot and that is comedy gold!
  • Trueblood
    House
    Glee
(I suspect I'll get over this one, like I did Lost..after two seasons when the characters are developed)
    Real Estate Intervention
    Jeopardy
  • Nobody into the new shows V and flash foward? Both awesome so far.

    True Blood
    House
    The Office
    Entourage
    Fringe

and I admit I like Vampire Diaries, but only cause I like Vampire shit.

Dollhouse - Fuck you, it's Joss Whedon, it'll get better!!

    Mark
  • Glee
    Family Guy
    Californication
    Colbert Report

    lol..well..umm..HGTV actually.

It is a new show where this guy goes to American's whose houses have been on the market too long and basically breaks their hearts and makes them feel like idiots by showing them sold and active comps priced much lower.

I'm also addicted to the DIY network.
  • 1. Rescue Me (Denis Leary rules!)
    2. Pardon the Interruption
    3. Cities of the Underworld
    4. 30 Rock
    5. The Office

    Also:
    The Daily Show
    The Hour w/ George Stromboloupolous
    Law & Order
    The Simpsons (Seasons 1-11)
    Futurama
  • PS: Graham..I'm officially petitioning you to add a 'U' to the favourite in the title..

    Posting with a Canadian perspective..imo
  • Sons of Anarchy (have to download of the net each week, airs on FX)
    Dragon's Den
    The Mercer Report
    Two and a Half Men
    Fringe
  • Amazing Race
    Dexter
    Entourage
    Big Bang Theory
    How I Met Your Mother

Honourable mention (meaning they've stopped producing them/the series is over)
    Las Vegas
    The Wire
  • Big Bang Theory - "I don't understand this movie. The instructions are very clear. Don't get them wet, don't feed them after midnight. How can they make such obvious mistakes." Sheldon's thoughts on Gremlins.

Wrestling - I'm putting RAW, Smackdown, ECW and TNA Impact into one group as I usually only get to watch one each week but I never know which.

How I Met Your Mother - NPH = Awesome

Accidentally On Purpose - Jenna Elfman: still hot as a preggo and still hilarious, although I am not finding her British friend very funny anymore.

Smallville - It's starting to drag on a bit, but I'm still uber into it.

Honourable Mention: Cake Boss. Something about a Brooklyn family run bakery making the weirdest fucking cakes ever is just awesome.
  • Dexter

Only one for me; I guess I don't watch that much TV anymore compared to most. Looks like Big Bang Theory is a must view. Have to track it down. Heard good things about Californication but never got around to watching it yet. I prefer to just get the box set and watch them one after the other. My public library has almost all of these shows.

Use to like this real estate show about 3 hot shot agents in Hollywood all under 25 selling million dollar homes to movie stars but they took it off the air.

I guess Prison Break when its on again.

..but that third kid whose Grandmother handed him all the leads while he just sat there and whined- tilted me off my fucking rocker!
  • Dexter

    Mad Men

    Californication

    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

    The Office (30 Rock)

(Breaking Bad and Lost (off season))

yes, Josh, love him or hate him. It was interesting that these guys could be so successful in this profession when they were in their early 20s. I guess they had a lot of family contacts, even the one guy with the beatle's hairstyle.
  • The Prisoner, on AMC.

To be honest, I am not sure what to make of it yet. I loved the original series, and that may be tainting (shut up Mark) my impressions, so I am going to hold off judgement until it's over.

LOL..he was awesome..sooo OCD. Did you see the one where his gf showed how he packed and organized with ziploc bags..including her purse?
  • Oh, and a special tip of the chapeau to the late Edward Woodward for The Equalizer. Long gone, but a great show, too.
  • I am with Kristy on the "u".

Not sure if I watch 5 tv shows?

    Umm...

    NCIS
    The Office
    High Stakes Poker..
    and sometimes..
    Family Guy
    Futurama
  • House
    Dexter
    Jeopardy
The Office/30 Rock (kind of a tie for my fav comedy atm even though the office has been getting kinda stale)
    The Daily Show

Just finished watching Season one of Sons of Anarchy. Katey Sagal from Married w Children really carries this show. Not sure if it airs on Rogers in Canada?
  • In no particular order..

    Fringe
    Dexter
Breaking Bad (any fan of Dexter should seriously give this show a shot)
    Entourage
    True Blood

    Honorable mention to..
The Wire (no longer on air), LOST (no longer on air), White Collar, and Chuck
  • Entourage
    Big Brother
    Big Bang Theory
    Criminal Minds
    How I Met Your Mother

ps how ridiculous was the last episode of entourage
  • It was unreal, it's about time the show actually started having some issues instead of just 6 seasons of how badass all the main characters are and how unrealistically sweet their life is .
