  • I would cheer for Ivey but, given my track record (see Amazing Race thread), I will refrain from doing so. I predict, in fact, that Ivey will be busto within 10 hands of the Final Table starting.

There, that oughta be good to see him as far as Heads-up play. After that it's up to Phil.

Hell, Jeff, just ask the old couple that rails Phil for a picture, too. Actually, better not . . . they might think you're hitting on the old dear.

    I will...

    hit on her that is.
  • I am cheering for Ivey or Cada. But as ive said before, and Phili said, Darvin Moon has been running amazing this year. Seeing his attitude and sarcasm the past few episodes I wouldn't complain if Moon won either.
  • I am officially cheering for Darvin Moon to win the Main Event.
    M-O-O-N, that spells moon . . .

I reckon it is his year.

    GO DARVIN !!!
  • I'm cheering for the stupidest person possible to win the main event...

That would be Jeff Shulman. Hope phil wins and shoves the bracelet where the sun don't........

Moon is going to run like me at the final table and will be out in 13 hands.
  • Stupid question: heard a rumour of being able to watch the final table live somehow... true? I'm just too lazy to google the info.

Im pretty sure there will be a live feed somewhere. If I find it at the time, I will post.
  • There is definitely no live video feed, however there is supposed to be live audio. See link on WSOP website. World Series of Poker - Official Tournament Coverage and Results.

The video broadcast is on ESPN 2 day delay.. After video editing... Sucks.. That live PPV a couple of years ago was great.

  • pokernews already crashing,lol

    lol at Barry's tweet

The Humpreys are in the first row on the stage. Phil's family and I only qualified for third row seating.
  • Darvin did not take a sponsership??? rofl yup he is going to create another boom
  • some intros that just happened, look at all the people holy crap!

YouTube - Intros at the 2009 WSOP FT
  • Hand #1 - Jeff Shulman

Darvin Moon has the button. Action passes to Jeff Shulman in the cutoff. He raises to 1.25 million. Moon and James Akenhead both pass. Phil Ivey is in the big blind and gives Shulman the patented Ivey death-stare before surrendering his cards.

    that`s right make Phil mad:)
  • whew

Phil Ivey has the button. With the action folded to him, he makes it 800,000 to skate. Nobody wants to see a flop with Ivey yet, and he picks up a free orbit of play.
  • YIKES! Phil what are u doing!!!

Steven Begleiter has the button. Jeff Shulman puts in another oversized raise to 1,250,000, and this time he finds some action. It comes from Phil Ivey who sends a long stare across the felt before announcing an all-in re-raise. A murmur of nervous cheers and muted applause works its way through the audience.

A few seats over, Joe Cada asks for a count, and the dealer cuts down Ivey's stack of 8,655,000. Cada waits for the exact amount before reluctantly folding out of the way. Shulman makes a quick decision, returning his cards to the muck and sending a nice chip-up pot over to Mr. Ivey.
