Phil Ivey mucks his flush, he didn't realize he had a flush he mucked to Aces up. Lost just over 1M chips because of it.

It happens to me a lot on-line too.

I'm telling you, Lon, it's a set-up. Wait until November, you'll see . . .
The read on his facial expression after the hand was mucked looked like he was trying to recount his hand and if indeed he had the 8s or 8c....
This was also weird for Ivey to call a 3bet in position then check the turn after. I would have assumed that the check on the turn would have been a flood gate for him to bet. Maybe he didn't want to get bluffed out of the pot, but at the same time he must have had an idea that he was either way ahead or way behind with the check on the turn. With 2M in the pot it would be ok IMO to fire out 750K...
I'm telling . . . aaaaah fuck it, you know the rest.
Seriously, though, what's the line? A player who never gets bluffed is never going to be a winner, or some such.
Caveat - have not watched the clip.
Rookie mistake imo.. Never would do that myself...
lol HAHAHAHAHA:)
lol
***waiting for compuease stories***
but really phil did not have the "nuts" there anyway
In that case, please see my first post in this thread. Or even my second.
Ivey wins the Main Event this year, and he will credit THIS hand for embarassing him enough to focus the awesome poker mind that sits above his cerebral cortex on NOTHING but poker in the weeks leading up to the Final Table.
Ivey: :8s:8c
Board: :5s:qh:ts :qs :as
dam skippy he will
free drink for milo:)
But Darvin moon is running better than Usain Bolt.
Of course, against Ivey, that might be a plan. . .
I feel like a complete idiot at this point I have no proper response. Though I had a great laugh with my buddies when they read your reply about "fold pre-deal". Haha, I fold in the dark.
You're learning, LK, you're learning . . .
Phil is just that good.
Wow, I feel better about the truly awful blunders I've made!
Many of my sessions I've made terrible calls and raises, I sometimes think, "If I can no do any catastrophic blunders, I'll be good."
