Planning Niagara Trip

Planning on going to Niagara Falls on Oct. 31st to play some poker 1/2 or 2/5 been awhile since I've been down there. Plan on being there from 11am until 6pm or longer if table is good. Which casino is best during this time for action (fish) and to minimize wait time usually prefer Seneca, however wanted to try one of the casinos on this side for a change. Any recommondations?

  • Start with 1/2 NL at Casino Niagara for a few hours. If you can't find a soft table there, then head over to Fallsview at try out a 2/5 table.

Don't forget to call ahead to minimize your wait time.
  • lol you'll be guaranteed to find a soft table at Casino Niagara so no worries there!
  • Does both Niagara and Fallsview allow you to phone ahead? The reason I usually play at Seneca when in the area is they seem to open tables quicker which makes for shorter wait times. Don't mind playing a patient game if table requires that route, however have no patience to stand around for hours waiting for a seat to open.
  • You want to come to Niagara to play poker on:
    1) a Saturday
    2) Halloween Saturday
    3) Halloween Saturday when the clocks go back one hour so people can drink longer

...and you don't think there will be a long waits??

So I quess you are telling me I am better off going to Seneca across the border where they treat the poker player better than on this side of the border. They actually open up tables when they get a list going and whenever I have gone the wait never has been more than 1/2 an hour. Thanks for your help NOT 13CARDS.
  • Not 13 cards does speak the truth though. Fallsview is busiest on holiday weekends, especially ones with an extra hour in them. You can go but you will wait, even with a call ahead.
Fallsview doesn't offer 1/2 only 2/5 and bigger games so if you prefer 1/2 then your best bet is to go to Casino Niagara.
  • To add to what others are saying, yes you will wait longer at Fallsview or Niagara if you want to play at peak times, however the action may be worth it. Generally the play is much tighter at Seneca. More regs and less touriists than on the Canadian side. Also the fact that lots of American 19 yr olds come over to play on the Canadian side adds to the ev of the situation. YMMV, it all depends on what you are looking for.

13Cards and compuease are exactly right.

Young, dumb 19 year old American kids who are not used to Canadian Beer... "Try a Brador".... = Free money => Get there at 6 PM so you get a seat and don't have to wait... If you come at 10 PM you can forget about it.

I am honored to be mentioned in the same sentence... :)
