Perception vs. Reality

So, just had a hand, all in preflop, AA vs KK on stars. Thankfully, I had the AA. Double thankfully, no suckout and I busted him out, practiaclly doubling thru in the process. This really seems to happen a lot, AA vs. KK. No, this isn't a "online/stars/tilt/whoever" is rigged thread. It's a "have you noticed this trend too" thread. So, anyone else noticed this too?

  • I think it is more that these two hands are all in, all the time so you see them far more often than AA vs. JJ. People can sometimes let go of jacks. they never let go of kings.

    This.

But, it's also really painful when almost every time you have kings, someone either has aces, or catches an ace on the flop. Or, the new one that I've noticed is, you hit a full house and they hit quads.
  • I got busted out of a live tournament with QQ vs AA... I felt incredibly stupid that I walked right into Aces, didn't do any of my usual "figure it out, what does she have, could she have aces?" I just assumed she was trying to drive me out of the pot....
  • You always remember the times AA beats KK, because if you think about the hand holdings closely chances are based action and the players the only hands that are going to be calling in certain instances are JJ QQ KK AA so you have a 1-3 chance of running into AA when you have KK.....

Don't forget the times where your KK hold against other random hands......

    That is real perspective :)
  • Up, basically every time I hold KK I hope they have 1010 JJ QQ AK or AQ and no ace comes!
