High Hand Scenerios
Just wondering the concensus in these different high hand situations assuming you must use both of your cards:
1. A10 Board AAA105 (should your 10 play? if not, should AAA1010 be considered your high hand if you use both your cards)?
2. 56 Board 55510K - other player has KK (eventhough your high hand does not count as you didn't use both of your cards, should the second player's HH of KKK55 count eventhough they didn't win the hand?)

1.If you hold A10 and the board is AAA105 then AAAA10 your hand. You basically tie with the kicker on the board so in most clubs it would play.
2. I think you may be right in that situation....looks like almost a bad beat jackpot
you didn't read the whole post, did you? He's not asking which hand is higher. He's asking which hand should be paid the HIGH HAND pot assuming you must use BOTH your hole cards to qualify for the HIGH HAND pot.
wat!?!
lol just about hte fact that AAAA obviously is the best hand like four of a kind then what is the confusion.
also in his second one 5555 four of a kind is higher then full house so what is the confusion?
I don't believe it... Your back!!!! Methinks Kristy wasn't at all concerned about the subject at hand, just so glad to see you back.... Where HAVE you been?
lmao lol u remember me ? are u glad that i came and give a visit once a year lol ... hehe . btw what did i do so special that everybody remembers me i don't understand ha.
Sure I remember you, I'm quite sure dozens of others do as well.... We're very friendly here... By the way, any chance you are related to or know xxcindyxx?
And Mole... you be nice, cool has been here a lot longer than you..
1. AAAA10 wins the high hand. No reason I can think of why you cannot use the 10 in your hand as the kicker.
2. 5555K wins the hand, but you cannot use it for the high hand prize, as you did not use your 2nd hole card.
Having said that, an argument could be made, much like in split pot games, that you do not need to use the same 5 cards to claim a specific "pot". In other words, unless it is specified that the high hand has to go to a hand that wins a pot, you could make the case that your "high hand" cards are 5555, with your 6 as the kicker. Not saying you'd win the argument, but it would be interesting to make the case.
omg compus lol u doing the work of gasoline in the fire lmao. hahaha how u know i am reading that thread . its long time but unfortuantely i came for the same resson but thought everybody forget but it seems like i am a real celebrity here. lol feeling special. but still i didn't got my those few cents hoping to be

THIS.
BTW no faceplam intended for coolteen. OP earns one.....again.
In case 2, if there is no specific rule that only the best hand qualifies, then KKK55 can be a jackpot high hand.
Since these special situations are rarely written as part of the rules, a club manager can be swayed to rule in your favour if it is in their interest, e.g., give a frequent customer the benefit of the doubt and jackpot this first time, then decide on the rule for all future occurrences.
P.S. High hand and other promotions where they rake extra money from every one of YOUR pots are horrible and should be avoided, especially since at least 10% of the jackpot is taken away as "administration fees" in the case of casinos and sometimes much more in the case of unregulated clubs. For both online and B&M casinos, it doesn't take long to accumulate over $100,000 in extra rake/fees because of all the gambooolers who don't care about EV and rake.
