Just a couple of questions....

I am new to the game of poker. I have read Dave Scharf's book, Winning Low Limit holdem by Jones, and have waded my way thru Theory of Poker. Was wondering if anyone has ever done a "study group" with poker books. I would be interested in becoming involved in one, so a group of people could exchange ideas and help in understanding the content.

There may be a place that already does this, I dont' know. If there is could someone point me in the right direction. Or would anyone be interested in starting one here?

    i personally think that it would be hard to get a group of poker enthusiasts together to talk about and not play poker ;)

    isnt this what the forum is for? i know that some discussions would work a lot better in person, but as far as a medium for collecting and comparing thoughts on a topic goes, the internet is as good as it gets.

    it could be interesting though, to have a small sit n go and a discussion afterwards about any hands that came up.
