My awesome trip to BCC
meh. I just thought I'd be a PITA.
Anyways Hobbes and I call in last night about 7:30 pm. Get there around 9pm and we are at the top of the list. Within 5 minutes we are called for 5/10. Less than an orbit later we get called to the only Omahaha 5/10 table.
Off we go to get rich!
Note: there is absolutely no money to be made at Omahaha when 4/10 players are from the forum. We sit down and there is Waltsfriend and also we have a FURFY sighting! So I slowly piss money away as Hobbes the donk cracks my AAJ9 when he clearly should have folded preflop to my 3 bet and of course flops the nut flush in one of the suits I didn't have covered. Waltsfriend takes some more money from me when my 2pr and wrap draw loses to her bigger 2 Page Ranking. To wrap things up I lose to FURFY when I give up my AAKJ and nut flush draw on the river when he bets into me.
Note 2: during the setup change I run to the craps table and a virgin shooter makes me $56 before I race back to the poker table even before his roll ends. Maybe I should have stayed there.
Note 3: so I make some money back from Hobbes when I speculate with KKcrapcrap and make quads.
Note 4: my last hand I speculate again with AAcrapcrap and of course my shitty AA hand makes aces full even though I had to call down through flush and straights all over the board with my flopped set.
So with my craps winnings, I'm down $20 in poker and it's 12:15 am so I decide to go. I was UTG and Hobbes was to my right so he played out his orbit.
So of course Hobbes the donk, without me or waltsfriend at the table anymore goes from a few bucks down to up over $100 in the final orbit.
I hate Hobbes.
Note 5: there is a rake cut but only on session fees for Omahaha but there was only the one 5/10 game going. They will also deal HA which we asked for but a shitty Omahaha player wanted to stick to straight Omahaha so meh.
Note 6: the new tourney schedule is out and now there is a nice board by the cashier showing how many seats left for all the upcomming tourneys. 40 seats left I think for the $100 Thurs freeze out.

Only 2 (maybe 3) hands were 3 bet in the 3 hrs we were at the table.

Hand goes to showdown board is like 88TAx. Player 1st to show shows 8Txx for a boat, then the player beside me turns over an 8, pauses then pulls the A out of his hand.
He says he wasn't trying to slow roll but had trouble getting the cards out of his hand. 1st player responds "How hard is it to say 'I have a boat' then get the cards out of your hand.
It's not hard by itself. However, while trying to keep the shit eating grin off of your face, it becomes extremely difficult.
Are the odds still 5x on the craps table?
Is there anyplace that has better odds? (Seneca has 2x and Fallsview/Niagara has 3x4x5x odds)

On to pokah, the players were worse than usual and dumping money into the table and mostly giving it to Hobbes. You know they are really bad when Hobbes is the most dangerous player at the table.
Of course I make quads and everyone folds and Hobbes makes trips and hammers the pot and gets paid off everytime. FML. Hobbes gets AA 3x, KK 3x and numerous other big hands and not one big pair gets cracked, even QQ on a AKxxx board holds up 5 handed checked to the river. I really hate Hobbes. Lets see, Hobbes makes a set of aces, gives the free card, flush comes in on river, now Hobbes bets, gets called 2 ways and is good. Fuck you Hobbes. I think with his craps winnings he is +$455 or something.
So we decide to enter the tourney in two weeks. Hobbes smiles like a cheshire cat while he watches me pay my buyin into the tourney, THEN tells me he can't play afterall. Fuck you Hobbes, stop playing mind games with me. I h8 you.

The Omaha game (they are running HA) was a no go last night as there were only 10 on the interest list
BCC trip report. Hobbes wasn't there to donk me all day so I won money at poker for the first time in many sessions. Did not play craps. Did not cash tourney.
Poker room cashier is now temporarily main cashier. Customer service now temporarily in downstairs lobby as renos continue. New poker room will be built in right rear corner of building near smoker's area. 16 tables I believe. Opening Jan. 1. Omaha will now be advertised as Omaha Wednesday to try and get the game going on Wed I guess. Yeah that'll work.

Called at 7pm today to hit Brantford. Huge wait lists. Spun some dice to keep my unbeaten BCC craps streak alive for a $14 win. 2h45min it took to get seated at 5/10.
So anyways get called and am informed that it is a kill table. Any 5/10 pot over $100 puts the kill on. $5 max rake still in effect, so essentially a rake cut to play 5/10 or session fee free 10/20. However you want to look at it, it's awesome. Shipped a $545 kill pot and paid <1% rake. So sweet. The 5/10 lists move way faster than the 2/5 so the table has 40-50% of the players who really want to play 2/5 now forced to play 10/20 on every kill pot. Did I say it was awesome? The kill carries until the person with the kill button loses the pot. Then it reverts to 5/10 again until another $100 pot is won. So awesome so awesome so awesome.
The 2/5 is full kill and then 10/20 and up is either 1/2 kill or full kill.
Also new room delayed until March 2010.
Wednesdays is Omaha day. Yumm Omaha with a kill. Awesomeness...
