Edmonton Poker Championships
Here's a quick blerb on the above tournament at Argyll in Edmonton going on right now.
Wedneday's $300 NLHE tourney had just over 200 entries, with a $15000 1st prize (didn't play that one).
Played the $500 + (day 1a) yesterday. Finished with 123 players, including 're-entries' (if you get busted before the first break, you can re-enter for full fee again).
Busted out about half way through (70 or so players left)......
I'm sitting with about 13K (average is 22K)....blinds 200/400 50ante
I raised preflop with QQ to 1700, agro villain flats from late position. Flop comes 3 3 9. I bet out 2100, villain jams, and I call.........he shows A9....turn 9. GG me.
Day 1B goes today, top 10% today and yesterday (13 players) play Sunday.
Didn't win any sat's, so I won't be playing ME tomorrow ($1500+).
