  • Things are going the other way.

(Sorry if this has been cover else where already, I don't read the whole site)
I talked to a local bar owner this week who runs weekly tournaments with no rake. He attended a meeting in London last week and they have all been put on notice. The units that were set up to bring down the underground rake games are running out of places to hit and have let the the 'no-rake' guys know they will be coming after them and thier liquor licenses. They claim they will not be seriously going after those playing the 'no-rake' games just those hosting them.

F&*k I hate Ontario right now. It's turning into a Police State fast. The Police are only ever as good as the People let them be. Keep fighting.
  • Don't like the wording that it only pertains to Texas Holdem.

+1 also, I don't think its strong enough.
  • Keep in mind that I have no personal involvement, I only came across it accidentaly...
  • Sadly enough in London the mayors husband was running an illegal poker game in his bar while the london police were shutting down other poker games.

Would that be the same husband who had not 1 but 2 hit and runs during the same drunken drive?

    Gotta stomp out the competition.
  • In any case, its a great database for potential players for any new clubs starting up.
