  • I know of one for September 12th at Max's diner which is Derry and Tomken area. I think you have to buy a ticket. It's a FR for a hockey team. I don't have info regarding starting stack or structure. Here is a little info a friend gave me, I'm quoting her e-mail message:

    1st prize is $1000, 2nd is 500 and 3rd is $250.
Tickets are $60 each and includes your chips to start and a buffet meal, bar is cash bar. There will silent auctions, raffles and you can buy in etc.

I assume she means rebuy but again, I'm not certain. I'm only playing to help out the friend's cause (her son's hockey). If there is any interest, I can try and get in touch with the TD and get more info.
  • Planning on hosting a tournament on Friday,September 25th in the Dixie/401 area. When I finalize details I will post, hopefully by early next week. Will have tables with dealers. Buyin: $140 ($100 to prize pool $40 for hall-includes dinner)
Dealer Bonus: $20 ( not added to prize pool)
Addon/Rebuy: $50 (1 during first three rounds added to prize pool)

With add on, $60 out of the $210

Without add on, $60 out of the $160

Kind of expensive for a non charity event, no? Or is this the going rate in the toronto area?

I understand your concern however hall, dinner and dealers need to be paid. If I could find a place to do this for a better price I would. That is why I am still talking with the hall and trying to see if there would be any interest from players here on the forum.
