Poker School

Okay, so the very popular poker site www.pokerpages.com has advertisements everywhere on it for their Poker School Online poker clinic. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has either taken "class" at Poker School, or knows about how effective it is. Can I get the same kind of benefit from (continuing) reading all the poker literature that is out there. TIA.

    I also checked this out once (but did not join), and I decided that it didn't look like you would get much for the money you paid. Much better to read as many books as you can, and get lots of "schooling" at *actual* low-limit cash games & tournaments.

    If you know the "textbook" stuff, you're much better off spending your time at $5 Sit-n-go's or $1-$2 cash games (or whatever stakes you feel best about yourself) online instead of playing for fake chips at the poker school.

    Just my $0.02, and once again, I've never tried it out myself.
