Update from the Hard Rock, some results
We are having a blast, there has been some O Canada sung over some stiff shots and the players and staff are very cool.
Beautiful poker and hotel room, awesome pool, CVS across the street for even cheaper liquor and drinks, love the venue.
It has been a slower start, but most players have wanted to come out closer to the main events and PLO. Still some decent cash flowing.
Here are the first few results, will be back later. In Vegas don't want to type all day, lol.

Here is what I have been able to figure out without any help so far from the CPT.
1) August 7: 93 players for $291+$59 event.
2) August 8: 31 players for first and final $485+$75 event. Will all future $560 events become $350 events, including August 20 and 23?
3) August 12: 22 players?
The 550's have been reduced but even yesterday the $340, 1st paid 3600, which ain't a bad days work.
I will be back in Calgary on the weekend and will keep everything current as the director here and I are in tune now.
I think this weekend will see better numbers and most I have talked to want to play closer to the main event and PLO games.
Also the $340's start with the 550 chips and 45 minute blinds, so are a better deal than originally even if the prize pool is a tad smaller than expected.
1) Sam Stein Hidden Hills, CA $3200
2) William McMahon, San Diego CA $2000
3) Christopher Herak Wilmington $1202
Mega Stack WPS/CPT Event #6 $340 August 12, 2009
1) Kelly Kellner, Calgary, Alberta $3650
2)Krzysztof Bernat, Chicago, IL $2200
3)Sonja Jurkovich, Las Vegas, NV $1425
Is everything being held just in the normal poker room?
Events are averaging 30, but alot more are saying they will play closer to the PLO and main. Most forum posts have said they where attending the week of the 17th.
I am also revisting and talking to players in the american and local LV forums, reposting and updating to find more players. Will be doing this all day Sunday.
(except 2+2 which will let me post results only, unlike every other forum in the world, since I am not "cool" or "in" enough I guess not to get fried/bared for disscusing an event)
PS, used the $69 if you book 3 night deal you mentioned, ty!

I made final but not the money. There was one call I was proud of when a player tried to push me off a big pot, a couple hands that the poker gods made interesting and 2 plays at final that I totally regret. I got 8.5 hours into this one, at least I got to play some cards.
One interesting hand early was this:
I have KQ and 4 players limp in.
Flop comes down QQ4 but 2 hearts. They all check and I bet, not big but not small. I don't want to get commited and am trying to control it. 2 fold.
The turn puts the flush up and a player bets for value which me and one other player call.
The river is a fourth heart. I have the King of hearts. It is checked to me, I check behind, so does the other player.
One held a baby flush which he made on the turn. We knew that but I was hoping to fill up.
The other Held AQ with the ace of hearts, who ckecked hoping we would lead.
Crazy that I held the worst hand all the way on this one. Limped pot, KQ looked pretty good on the flop an the King high flush not bad either.
But since I could only get called by hand that beat me, glad I dodged that mess in the end.
