I need your help!
My wife and I are planning a quick U.S. getaway for a few days in late August and I'd like to know if any of you know of any good places to go where I will be able to show my wife a good time, but also a nice casino to satisfy my poker itch.
My wife basically likes to shop and we like good restaurants. I have looked at Foxwoods in Connecticut but it is too far for our short trip. I'd like to keep it under six hours. We have been to Turning Stone and it is a great casino but out in the middle of nowhere. That will not satisfy our shopping needs. We did Detroit in the fall and it was fun but we want to go somewhere new. I know there are also a couple in N. Michigan, but I don't know what else there is to do there.
My wife is also a decent poker player so a place with reasonable tourny buy-ins would be awesome ($100 or less). If any of you have visited casinos that are within the six hour drive I'd love to hear about them.
Any and all info is appreciated.
Thanks

We are big fams of Birch Run and I had no idea there was a casino nearby...I'll look into it...thanks.
I go to Seneca often....I actually won a tourny there last Thursday....still on tilt over the 30% withholding tax they kept from me. I have already been in contact with ustaxrecovery.com. Back on topic.....I like Walden Galleria, but Boulevard Mall in Amherst is much better IMHO.
Thanks for all of your help....if anyone knows of others that would be great.

Just out of curiosity, is it still a dry casino? It was when I was there.
