$100+9 Sit n Go tournament win...

Yes that is right, this morning I play a

$100+9 Sit N Go tournament, 6 handed, at Ultimatebet.com

First place = $420
Second place = $180

Who was at the table? Well a bunch of people I didnt know other than Krazy Kanuck. He is a write for CPP and an excellent Sit n Go tournament player.

Needless to say I won the whole tournament, cashing for the $420 with one hour and twenty mins of play. Krazy Kanuck finished in third. I had the honor of playing with him as well as talking with him. He is a great guy!

Here is how the last hand of the tournament played out.

My chip count - 3250
Opponents chip count - 2750

Opponent is small blind
I am big blind
Opponent matches big blind
I look down at 5 :diamond: 6 :diamond:
I check

Flop comes J :club: 3  2 :spade:

I check my inside straight draw
Opponent checks

Turn comes 4 :diamond:

I made my straight 2-3-4-5-6 and bet 400
Opponent studies for awhile and moves all in
I call
Opponent has J :spade: 4  two pair

I say good game and pray that the river doesnt bring a Jack or another four since he would make a full house.

River is no help and I win the tournament.

Though I would post this as it is my single biggest prize money I have ever won at a Sit n Go before. My opponent had no way of knowing I had the straight and take nothing away from him going all in with 2 pair. I would have done the same thing. Like I said it was great playing with Krazy Kanuck. Have never played with him before, but it was fun he is a great guy. And this was a great experience.

  • Good win for you. It is great that you already had a made hand when your opponent was nice enough to go all-in for you. :D

I haven't mustered up my courage yet to pony up that much cash for a tourney. I need a lot more experience first.

    Thanks for the encouraging post!
