Massive bluff and it worked!
Had notes on this guy as 4xr preflop = AK, so I called from position to try and outflop him or outplay him. Not sure where I got the courage to fire the third shell, but I did, and it worked. 
And yes, I know, courage on a .10/.25 table is like being the first one out of the foxhole: you're the first one shot. Guess I'd make a good soldier.
