  • I haven't heard any feedback about the online aspect of my league yet, has anyone read it on my website? Go to the GAME PLAY INFO page. Welcome
What do you think about my online affiliation twist to freerolls for our members?

I also picked up my Shuffle Tech Auto Shuffler today. I had it shipped from Chicago. It works great, final tables are going to see way more hands at my events. It works in the same manner as the casino shufflers, I have a link to there website on my Links page Welcome
  • No problem Graham, you've been more than helpful to me and my league bro. I have placed your banner into my left & right footer spaces as well, they come up randomly with each page being viewed.
    Thank you sir!

I find the bolded text somewhat difficult to read and got a little lost reading it. You should create a quick summary of buy-in, date, time etc. at the top imo.

I have tweeked it a little bit. There are no buy-in's Graham, it's free to play always, but I still have to iron out the details with my online poker affiliate as to start times, my contact mentioned 8pm on Fri and Sat nights. With regards to the freerolls the details will be e-mailed to players, that way only the active players who contribute get to play the freerolls.
  • We will be giving away a seat and trip to The Montreal Open in support of The Miriam Foundation, which is a televised event, in March 2010 to our second place winner of our season 1 Championship Tournament. They will be giving away 10 seats to the Main Event of the W.S.O.P. along with cash.
  • I may have another venue coming up in Bradford for our Thursday night slot.
  • Brantford or Bradford?

You're right I must have been asleep there, it's Bradford. I've corrected it now.
    Thanks Steve.

LOL your competing against a small crowd. There is already a Thursday game in Bradford and one in Gilford. Don't see it working on that night but GL.

Well I hope the other games in town don't mind a little competition. Do they offer more then my League does? Have you looked at my website yet and read what we're giving away each season? Let me know what you think?
  • Actually the bar owner in Bradford mentioned to me that there was a game right next door in another bar and I told him that may not be a good thing then, but he wants to try it and see how we do regardless. Who am I to argue with him if he wants to give er a go?
  • I haven't confirmed anything with the bar owner yet, so really C.A.P.T. isn't in Bradford yet and the other games can still rest easy lol.

I have decided to steer clear of the poker rich Bradford and go with Aurora if I can land one more venue. I'm talking with a couple bar owners now so we'll see what I can do.

And I had to dump the girl I was going to hire, sorry guy's lol, but there was a problem we couldn't ignore with her.....
  • I have added another aspect to our league play. If I or another Floor Manager play in any tournament we have there will be a bounty of 200 points on our heads and, if available, a prize as well. Sound good?:wav::wav::wav:
  • Six days until the tournaments begin for the Canadian Amateur Poker Tour and our soon to be members.
  • I am looking to hire a Floor Manager in the Barrie area to run three venues.
    Sunday-Stroud Monday-Barrie Wednesday-Alcona
You will need to have your own vehicle.
    Send your resumes to jobs@canampokertour.ca
If you are capable of taking on the one other venue in Oak Ridges-Tuesday, the pay rate will be increased.
I will contact all applicants by phone.

  • Well tomorrow is the big day 1 in Stroud. I hope to see and meet a few people from here.
I'll post how it all went tomorrow night.

    Thanks.
  • Our first event at The Stroud Pub went well and we even had a Bounty Event where our winner, Alex Bown, won both the tournament and the Bounty for a total of 2500 points, a $25 gift certificate and two prizes for the double slam dunk. Good job Alex, see you at Grayson's Pub & Grub tomorrow night.
  • Question: Are any of your players on here? If not, might be a good idea to point them here so they can see your updates. Also they may be interested in some of the other events and info posted.

    I think I'll wait......
  • Well it's been a great week, we have a total of 56 members after our first week of tournaments. I was hoping to see a few people from Poker Forum....? Well one new member was from Poker Forum and he's a really nice guy, he's been to two of our live tournaments and played Friday night online. Thanks Kevin. Cheers everyone and hope to see you out there on our tables soon:biggrin:
  • I've been very busy with the C.A.P.T. and work so I have neglected to post here in the past few weeks. All of my up-to-date post's are on my website daily, www.CanAmPokerTour.ca ,on the TOUR UPDATES page.
The C.A.P.T. membership is growing steadily, I am happy to say, and our best night of all our venues is Grayson's Pub & Grub. The others will need a little more time to catch up because the woman who owns Grayson's knows what we're after and that's new members, so she has put up a billboard outside her venue and tell's every person who enter's her bar to come out for poker Monday night's there. She's awsome! Thanks Laura.....
  • Going to be in Alcona today at Sunny's Bar & Grill. 1pm register 2 pm cards fly.

  • Hey now,

I have added a new TOUR VENUE for our Season 2 in Aurora. It will begin January 7th at Johnathan's on Yonge St. I had to suspend our games Tuesday's at Scorpio's just South of Johnathan's on Yonge St. until Season 2, I need to get another venue in the same area in order to get the player's up in numbers. I'll be working hard to obtain another venue or two else where in the area as well.
