Tournament at Fallsview (not WPT)

So the other day I was playing at Fallsview and we were talking about how the WPT won't be coming back this year. Another player added that a tournament will still take place but not the WPT.

My initial reaction was no way, they don't really care for the poker players and they've never had anything besides the WPT (not including the Degree tournament) to my knowledge. Why would they start now?

One of the supervisors was standing by and to my surprise confirmed the rumor (and by confirm, I mean, it's still a rumor and in the works but at least he's heard of it). He said a tournament may be held this October...

rumours abound about pokerstars doing something up this way, like fallsview they are keeping it hush hush, it "could" be that or just a regular tourny like what brantford and port perry etc etc hold.

it could be a CPT Major where the Main Event Final Table will be taped by Heads Up Entertainment and broadcasted on The Score

Stars doing qualifiers into the CPT event Then having it televised....

Better yet, Stars taking over the CPT, and then creating a North American Poker Tour...as WPT is on its way out...

Any word if a tournament or series of tournaments will be coming to Fallsview? Either over a day,week long series or on a monthly basis. Ontario casinos are brutal in regards to the poker community either by choice or due to the OLGC. You would think with the state of the economy they would try to get people into the casino by any means. Some players might even gamble in the casino at other games or book a hotel if a tournament or series of tournaments were held there.
