Bcpc 2009
Anyone heard anything on this yet? I can't find anything on the the website, and nothing else comes up except a limited thread on 2+2 that says it just hasn't been announced yet..
I want to play dammit!!

I don't watch TV..so, no, I won't see those..lol
Cool site though, will check it out a bit more in depth later.
Sorry, until you came along I was pretty much the only BC person posting here for 2 years. With me now posting an average of once every 5 months, it pretty much leaves you.
All I meant was you'll have way more luck on that site finding information about poker in this province then you ever will on this one.
If you were willing to move to Waterloo however....
Yeah..Stars ran like 2 or at most 3 BCPC ME satellites last year.
Was debating between this and the Fallsview WPT.....but my decision is now an easy one.
Hopefully Pokerstars picks it up again and runs more Sat's than last year, as they didn't have many.
haha...what a concept~!!! Though, I can't find anywhere the tournament has even been announced? Fuck it..I am phoning the River Rock right now.
ok, confirmed dates from the River Rock poker room are November 15-22nd. There will be satellites in house starting in August, and P*s will also be having some..they just didn't know dates for that or how many.
+1. It was my first live large tourney experience, but everything was well organized and ran quickly. I think the only complaint I heard was during the $1000+$100 2 day NLHE event, where they were letting people who weren't able to get in because the tourney was full in once someone busted before the 2nd level of blinds. Just some bitching about other tables having an extra stack of chips, thus an advantage. Funny... all those bitchers busted before the first break.
Oh, and BC is definitely worth the trip. This gives me an awesome excuse to go see the family. Also makes me sound like a bigshot to the in-laws. I have no idea why they're impressed I flew out to play in a poker tourney, but fuck it, I'll take the admiration.
That would be a forum first for sure, seeing so many of the Ontario players in BC.
Blondefish, you'll love Vancouver. It's just a beautiful beautiful city, and the tournament is top notch.
Stars had sats to the BCPC around Oct to early Nov last year.
It'll be pretty cool to take this one down.
Ofcourse, that'll be tough since I only play blackjack
I'll make a call myself, but its bumped on the list for now.
Buyins, dates, any past info to help players decide why they should play it.
Day 1 (Nov 15): $500+$50 NLHE tourney. 550 players max. 1 day tourney. Top... 54 got paid I think, not certain. 20 minute blinds.
Day 2(Nov 16): $500+$50 Mixed NL/Limit HE tourney. 550 players max. 1 day tourney. Top 54 got paid (again, assuming I was right on the previous one). 20 minute blinds
Day 3-4(Nov 17-18): $1000+$100 NLHE Tourney. 750 players max. Two day tourney. Top 72 get paid. Tourney breaks once the money is reached or at level 12 I believe. 30 minute blinds.
Day 5-8(Nov 19-22): $2500+$200 NLHE Tourney. 750 players max. Four day tourney. Top 90 get paid (not positive on that one, but I seem to remember more players getting paid than the $1100 tourney for some reason, even though it's the same amount of players). 60 minute blinds. 10K starting stack.
Hope that helps and hope that it's somewhat accurate.
Hopefully this year.
Hope we get some more talking with us.
How you like that link back? Lets rock the scene!
Your name says it all? lol
Nice work
Ryan
I am gonna find the right e-mail addy, lol
This years BCPC is too early for my player that wins the seat but next year I will be sending possibly 4 people unless they pick the WSOP Academy trip as their prize, and I'll be joining them without a doubt. That will be a fantastic experience.
If this is correct, what do they do on the off days for players that are busted from the tournament? Like do they run some sort of tournament on the 18th and the 20th, 21st, 22nd?
Not likely, you'll have to play cash.
They ask you to stop using so much profanity and explain that, while that was a terrible play, the full house that the gentleman with the drool coming out of his mouth and the mustard on his neck does still win because his 75o caught a runner runner boat to bust your flopped top two pair with AKs.
Other than that, there's a TON of cash that flows upstairs at in the poker room. It's quite the site to see. Oh, and River Rock has a bad beat jackpot. A guy won it last year the night before the tourney. He flopped a boat with 1010 on a board QQ10, which he bet out (don't ask). Turn blanked, river 10. Opp flopped quad Q's. He won $40K I believe. guy with the Q's got $20K and everyone at the table got $2K. I'm not sure if that is how they always break it down or if it was just the guy that won being nice to the others at the table (aside from the guy with the Q's as I don't think he'd be giving him that much). If I remember correctly, the bad beat kicks in if you lose with AAA1010 or better.
