check in the dark
what are you opinions of the check in the dark move (i.e. checking before the flop hits for example)?
i don't think i'd use it in MTTs at all. maybe on the final table if there was a lot of play left still. i'd possibly use it occasionally in cash games though. it kind of negates being the first to act for a street since your opponent knows that you're not checking the actual flop cards. personally, when i've played against someone who checks blind, it really makes it hard to put them on a hand.

(was just watching a poker after dark episode where helmuth checked the flop in the dark, hit top pair, and called off the rest of his chips to kaplan who hit two pair on the turn. nh phil :P)

yeah i've also considered the bet in the dark as well. same logic follows the check in the dark i'd think.
