well if it the first time youve ever played stud. play like a nit.
obviously play rolled up hands strong.
bring in for a raise with premium pairs (10s or better, split or in the hole) unless there are two opponents with different upcards bigger then yours in which case limp. only call a raise with these if A) the raiser has a lower door card then your pair OR the raiser has a higher door card, but nobody behind you has a higher door card.
limp 3 card starting hands for one bet that are all of one suit or are a rundown (678, JT9) and small pairs (as long as nobody is showing one of yours as a door i.e. if you have a pair of 6s, nobody is showing a 6...and be more willing to play if your kicker is high i.e. 6-A-6) dont chase these speculative hands if you dont improve on 4th street.
play big suited run downs strong as well (KQJ all hearts for example)
disclaimer: obv this isnt optimal but at least you got something.
Bah..47th. Got shortstacked raising the hell out of my split aces with nothing scary out there except a guy that reraised both 3rd and 4th street..folded them there...
