anyone else hearing rumours that world poker tour is for sale?

One of the rumours are several large online poker sites are looking at buying it.



Also rumours of a north american poker tour or canadian poker tour by pokerstars and pokerstars is keeping quite on the subject.

    Other than the one 'news release' found at coinflip.com and the one 2+2 thread, I haven't been able to find a single other source to confirm or deny a potential sale.

    I'm sceptical at best until I see something on a more worthy site than coinflip and 2+2

    Rumours have been floating for the past couple of years of the WPT demise, but it just keeps coming back. Personally, it might be a good idea for an online client like FT or PS to invest and call it their own.

    They have been struggling for some time now. Wouldn't surprise me. It might just be out there to try and get a room like stars or FTP take it over.

    uhhh. Mike has more grey hair.... and my hat makes the difference... I'm in!

    I don't know about the structure designed by Blondefish though... I may not live long enough to see the end of the tournament...
