I also competed in a Rock Paper Scissors competition. Now this little contest was $500 per person to enter, with a $10,000 first prize ($6,000 of the prize pool was going to Bad Beat On Cancer, Phil Gordon's pet charity). I made it as far as the final eight, where I lost to a gentleman named Richard Brodie. Richard Brodie invented Microsoft Word, and is worth more money than the State of California. Like he needed the 10K. Oh well.

Oh, and which stupid company was this???
The sponsoring poker company dropped a rumoured (and very ridiculous) $500,000 on a massive fireworks display for the after party
