Your Longest Cashing Streak?

Currently, I am pretty happy with my live tournament Hold 'Em game. While there is always room for improvement and each game there are mistakes made, right now I am riding a streak of cashing in and liking it. Granted, I am not getting rich at it and some tourney's were only twenty buck entry's but it's still a great feeling when you finish in the money (obviously!)

So, I'm sitting at 7 straight cashes.

4th out of 108 = up $250
1st out of 10 = up $80
3rd out of 16= up $40
2nd out of 7= up $50
1st out of 10= up $80
2nd out of 10= up $40
4th out of 30 = up $140

Have a 10 man on Monday and will give the Ching Hill league a crack on Thursday.

What is your longest cash streak or do you even keep track? I hope to break Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak record

  • Are you just posting this to try to intimidate us on The Hill?

    Well...its working

    Nice Run!!
  • I had a nine positive cash game run after my Vegas trip; probably the longest that I can think of. I'm hoping to break a three in a row losing streak tonight. Cash games kind of always remind of the Seinfeld episode about break-even Jerry. You win a big pot cracking aces with trip 2s and lose a big pot when your aces get cracked by someone elses trip 2s.
  • 4 MTT in a row live is my best I think, 4 online by the looks of the Bluff db

So I would say 4 is my streak to improve.

    Nice work on your rush!

    I think

    Milton Slim
  • cash games: currently on a streak of 13 straight (technically that's 13 days with some days having more than one session though)
    STTs: 5
MTTs: 3 at best, most likely 2
  • 7 cahes in a row 4 times. that's stt and mtt online:)

    Spread the word.....Fear me. :rage:

Actually now would be a good time to play me because we know these things can't last forever.

Just a word of caution...no one has yet to win back to back to back on The Hill, but Darryl has probably come the closest in past seasons. As the winner provides snacks and drinks for the following game, should you go three for three, you WILL be expected to bring or have delivered surf and turf for all players!

But you're right...your reign is about to come crashing down on you. WELCOME TO THE HILL!>:D

I will wait until my first V is in the bag before spouting out "well, there is a first time for everything and history is about to be written!" but keep it in mind anyway.

Not a problem, I have a fishing rod, a permit and one of the great lakes within 5 km.

thanks! Let me finish your statement with this
  • Live MTT cashes, 3 (which I thought was farging awesome).....all being 10% tournies (ie. 10% of field get paid).

Cash games, you can't compare to streaks, as it's far more difficult to cash in a tourney than be up in a cash game.

Online......play so many, so can't recall for sure.

most of the cash games I have played in, your lucky if 2 in 10 people leave the table ahead. Plenty going broke, multiple times.

I may have to move to Toronto
  • back to positive again for a streak of one; fifth person to the leave the table, first with chips.
  • I used to sweat being up a sesion.

But that all changed when I read that Chip Reese only wins 58% of his sessions.

    Think about it.

The guy Doyle Brunson calls, "The best cash game player in the world"
Only wins 58% of his sessions!!!

I really don't keep track of if I win or lose in a session.
I just record the time I spend on the tables.
At the end of the month I record and deposit my winnings/loss.

I recall Sklansky stating that most cash game players should expect to be down 1/3 of their sessions if they are good players.

Agreed, but still much easier to put a winning streak together in cash game than MTT tourney, where the best cash 25% of the time.
  • the streak has halted. Bubble boy tonight. 4th out of 10.

Got real lucky mid-way in the game. My J-J vs. Q-Q pre-flop for all my chips. Hit trips on the first card.

Last hand; villain raises to 2,000 pre-flop, I look down at Kojack, I re-raise another 3,500 on top for my tourney life, villain hums and ha's and calls with 6-6 and wins the race.

Thursday will be beginning of a new streak
