My WSOP Diary
Since I don't have a blog and I wouldn't know Twitter from a fritter, I will try to post my Las Vegas updates in this thread.
Day 1, June 25 - Checking for WMD - Weapons of Math Destruction
My detailed report of the first eventful day with forumer StinkyFingers got erased, so I will try to retype it all later on if I have time.

Day 7, July 1 - Time to Party
I played a $235 two-winner WSOP satellite that didn't start until after midnight. When it got down to the final three, the big chip leader was a Las Vegas resident. The shortest stack who had slightly less chips than me kept wanting to make a deal, but the chip leader wanted the full $1,100 while I didn't want to give up equity by just splitting the other prize for $550. The short stack ended up re-raising all-in with AA and the big stack made a horrible quick call with only 22, but fortunately for him and me, he sucked out a 2 and we each won two $500 lammers and $100 cash.
I tipped the dealer, then ate all-day breakfast at a Rio restaurant. So I now have two more $500 lammers that I have to sell to strangers in line-ups.
After I woke up, it was the end of my three-day free stay at a nice Rio suite and I checked out. I took a taxi to Monte Carlo. The female driver complained about everything - Obama, traffic, the new Las Vegas taxes, the US, Canada - and wanted to move to Thailand instead. ??? After the $11 interesting cab ride, I tried to check in at the Monte Carlo, but there seemed to be confusion about my accommodation. I went to the PartyPoker hospitality suite to check in and sort things.
I was given my PartyPoker loot bag, which contains a PartyPoker hoody and shirts, a shirt for my wife, two access bracelets, a VIP lanyard, a 4 GB memory stick, and some sort of electronic device. Having become techno-illiterate, I asked the Party girl on how to open the device, but she didn't know either. It turned out to be an iPod touch and I have no idea how to use it! :-[ I'll have to wait until I get home to get my seven year-old daughter to teach me how to use it.
Wow, all the text I had typed just got cancelled and disappeared, so I'm going to wait to play a poker game first to take out my frustration before I retype Day 1 and Day 7 again...
Good Luck
