WPT lighting

I watch the WPT frequently and can't for the life of me figure out what is up with all the lights bouncing around all over the place during play. I really noticed it a few weeks ago (can't recall which tourney exactly) but the lights were all over this one players face and although it didn't seem to bother him, it was driving ME crazy. It was non stop!

The producers feel the need for flashy set decoration but why not stop the lights during play? If they really feel the need for the search lights, why not use them when the action breaks between hands and commericals?

Has anyone attended a taping? is it as distracting in person as it is on tv?

  • Perhaps asking "Sirwatts" would be a good idea...

  • I attended the WPT tapings all three years. I personally wasn't bothered by the flashing lights live or on TV. I am going to miss the WPT "set decorations." :'(
