    Today's schedule (Tue. Aug. 4):
    14:00 ET - $7.50 100 x $109 seats added, NLHE 10min blinds
    21:00 ET - $27.00 100 x $215 seats added, NLHE 10min blinds

2:00pm normally doesn't work for me, but today it does. Extremely good value here. If you've got the time, it's a no-brainer to sign up. Let's do this thing!
  • One thing to note though is that these will be paid out in tourney tickets so you can't unregister and collect w$
  • I'm in for the 2pm tourney. Had to double check when the actual tourney was that this satellite's for. It's a Tuesday so I'm all good :) Now, just need to figure out where the bust everyone button is...

I think that's just a 'list of winners/holding tank' that you're looking at. The way I read it, you win a ticket that you can use in either of the two WCOOP $109 buy-in events (8-Game on Fri. Sep. 4 @ 8:00pm ET or NLHE on Sat. Sep. 5 @ 12:45pm ET).
  • And they're having a 50% up to $300 reload bonus...and this is one where you don't have to do it all in 1 deposit, you can get your bonus via 3 separate deposits. Oh..and they also bumped up the new player bonus and matched Full Tilt's 100% up to $600 (only thing now is that the requirement is up to 25VPP now...why can't they go back to the old days with 10VPP per dollar? :D)
  • Wes ... what happened? I was quietly railing you a bit while I just dwindled down and down and down. I finally open shoved J10o in late position, get called by AKo, flopped top side of an open-ended straight draw which failed to improve - going out 2364th. I went back to your table to wish you well before logging out ... and you're out 2387th?! I know you were on a real rollercoaster, but you had a decent chip count one minute earlier.
  • Still in after the break 579 of 1599 with an M of just under 14

  • Couldn't fold TPTK against an overpair...and figured studying might be of a higher priority with an exam in 4 hours rather than playing poker ;)
  • Out in 702nd when by boat runs into quads, nothing is certain

  • Agreed. I hadn't played a single hand in P* for months, but just like the rake-free satellite for the GBH $1100 tournament this Sunday, it is a no-brainer to play as many of these Extremely +EV Satellites as I can afford.
Extremely good value here. If you've got the time, it's a no-brainer to sign up. Let's do this thing!
  • I am playing the 9pm tourney tonight...
  • Just registered for the 9pm as well. GL All
  • I just found out that you can also use a Step ticket. I tried the P* Steps once and still had the Step 2 ticket that I had won in my acccount.

Yeah me too. Bonus freeroll for me.
  • Just about done, crippled when a guy shoved with 66 and rivered a 6 to bust my QQ. Down to 380 chips.

    Edit. Done . Q10<J7
  • At first break... started with 1483 players, down to 601... Still alive, but below average stack...

lost a bunch when my set was river'd by a shortstack str8.
  • Out as well. Card dead since break and blinds escalating...
Finished just over 100 away from a ticket, as they were awarding the top 272.
  • Snagged a $215 ticket in tonight's $27 "extreme satellite" - a big part of my first good night on Stars in a long, loong time. Will be using it for one of the three WCOOP $1 Million GTD NLHE tourneys (Sep. 6,13,20). Each have a 5,000 chip starting stack and 20 minute blinds. Very nice. :)

In this one, Stars added $21,500 in seats to a prize pool that would normally only have $37,000 in prizes - a massive overlay. Get in on these guys and gals.
  • Got screwed in tonight's Stars sat but won my FT sat so I'm in event 1 of FTOPS tomorrow.
  • Did nothing in FTOPS 1 tonight but shipped a $215 ticket in tonight's P* extreme sat.

Anybody know how the tickets work? I'm registered for Extreme Satellite B on Sept.1, whatever that is. No way to unregister.
  • Its just a holding area for satellite winners, then they will issue tickets all at once after these are finished, I'm assuming
  • I made it into the Sept 1 tourney last night via the $7.50 at 21:00. Great value - will try and do the $27's too...
  • yeehaw so soft these sats. shipped a $315 today. Strange though, the schedule says it was supposed to be a $82 buyin but was only $27. Stars paid for over half the seats in the sats.

Edit: shipped another $315 ticket today.
  • Took a brutal late hit in yesterday's $82 for the $1000 ticket. Was sitting about 80 / 150 (124 get a ticket)when I get A's. Jam in preflop, as I don't want any unwanted action at this point. Get called by a short stack with K's......flops the K......wonderful.

Now sitting 124 / 132 in my BB (BB is 1200, I have 2400 in reserve) with A9 soooooted. Big stack who's been pushing all-in every second hand, jams again.

I'm 95% sure I have the best hand here, and I'm pretty sure I can't fold my way to the ticket. Anyone find a fold here?

I end up calling, he shows J8off, and of course flops the straight (online poker is for sure rigged).

End up finishing 132...one of my worst bubble's in recent memory.

But damn, are these soft sat's. Try again tomorrow.
  • Ok...anyone have a Coles notes on which tourneys we should be hitting up? Been a long time for me on Stars....start at the step one or two's and jump into the WCOOP mtt's?
  • yeah step 1 and 2 and then the 3pm or 9pm extreme sat.
  • Yes, before I waste a single cent or second at FTP or any other site with no overlays, I would risk my entire PokerStars bankroll to play the 2/9 PM Extreme Satellites with over $1 million in overlays whenever I can. Since I'm usually card dead, I open up another table to play the evil PokerStars Steps.

    :rage:

If this keeps happening to me at JokerStars, I will go busto by the time WCOOP is over. At least I can then beg actyper to stake me for $1 to play in 20¢ tourneys. ;)
step 1 and 2 and then the 2 pm or 9pm extreme sat.
  • the only problem I see, is you can't win multiple seats to the same event and cash them out..which kinda sucks if you can only play one or two of the wcoop events.
