Seeing as the 3 of you are playing the main event I want to get some action down on you guys making it into the money. Pinnacle Sports has done this in the past for me, if I email them your full names they will put up PROPS on "Cashing in the main event". Looking at some they have listed already I see a bunch of +800 props so I figure I should get close to the same with you guys.

If you don't mind your names being online PM me and I will get them posted. It will give me and maybe a few others another reason to pull for a good run by you all.

  • can you explain how this works? haven't seen this before. I might be interested in putting down a little wager on a fish, or two.
  • I should be able to get odds posted then you could bet FOR or AGAINST them to make the money. Obviously in the spirit of things I'd bet FOR. Here's a screen capture of a few they have posted.
  • Those three are obviously well known names but Pinny has done it for me in the past when I wanted to support friends playing so hopefully they'd do it again and the prices should be much better.
  • how does the +$450, -$350 work? why not just take a piece of their action instead and save the rake (and potential for bigger returns)? I like some of the other bets on woman making it to the final table or the winner being American, etc.

I play these props all the time, if Pinny will give me +800 on each of them ($100 wins $800 profit) I'll take it for some added interest, buying a piece of the action has more implications, first off to get +800 they'd need to not only cash but go deeper. (and yes the potential to make more than +800 exists) and secondly the tax issues and delay in getting paid. The minute 1 or all of them survive the bubble all I have to do is provide my contact there the official link and i'm paid right away. :)
  • so for the -$350, you have to bet $350 to win $450 ($100 profit)? sorry, its been a few years since I did any sports betting. do you like any of the other current poker bets? I have a feeling a Cdn will take it this year. seems like decent odds that a woman will not make the final table.
  • Yeah if you are betting they won't make the money you'd have to put up $350 to make $100.
  • Holy crap thats the coolest thing ever!!! Yeah feel free to use my name and let me know when its setup.

Sweet.. PM me your full name as it would appear on the WSOP site AFTER you make the money. :)
  • Seems kinda cool. I'll PM you.

Will it be listed on the main page, or can only you who requested it make a bet.

So couldn't you technically bet HUGE that you won't cash, then intentionally bust out?
  • Only if you have Phil Ivey type odds that you will make the $ :)

don't think they will take that kind of action; keep thinking outside the box though.
  • Betting amounts are generally listed under 800 for props such as this, which eliminates anyone from potential busting out on purpose. I have a couple other friends that are going so I'll probably email the lines guy there once I have all the names, my thinking is if I can get +700/800 on each I'll play all of them for 100 or 200 apiece and if 1 cashes I profit, and more than 1 makes it sweeter.

Wes.. eventually should they be put up you'll find them on Pinnacles mail page, under the catergory "Miscellaneous" and then click on 2009 World Series of Poker Props.
  • I'll bet I'm more likely to cash in the seniors than any ONE of the aforementioned..... :) odds? over/under on when I bust out? Jeesh you guys are gamblers, you'll bet on anything!
  • Jeff I wouldn't bet against you, first off you're on a heater and secondly I don't believe any of that "I'm a nit stuff" you try and pawn off on us. Make us proud.

Funny story releated to this. During yesterdays tournament, the levels were 30 min and breaks every 3 levels, so only 90 min between, no big deal right? Well there were two younger guys at my table, maybe 25-27 or so. We were down to 11, so one off final table, we just finished a level and were about to go on break. The TD asked us if we wanted to play on until we lost one more to collapse, the consensus was yes, play on but both young kids wanted to break right away since they couldn't hold on any longer... lol.. We broke and they ran.... Kids! :)
  • did you get anyone registered for this wagering?

    Short answer Yes.

It took a little convincing as they had a few problems with it last year but as a long standing customer and mainly a courtesy thing they did it for me. I have 3 hand written (what they call off the board wagers) tickets on all three posters. Prices on all three were the same +750. So I need 1 to cash to make money here.

    GL to all.
