Sir Watts in $3000 HORSE

It is probably too early to get excited, but Mike is 11/41 in Event #21. This was posted on the PokerNews site:

Watson Chops and Chips Up

Stud-8

Mike Watson is progressing well today and just added a few more chips to his stack in a recent Stud-8 hand despite it being chopped.

Watson led the betting against two opponents before the river was check-raised, causing the player stuck in the middle to fold.

Watson: ({4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}) {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Opponent: ({Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}) {Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Watson and his opponent seemed content enough to chop up the third player's chips as Watson moves up to around 65,000 chips.

Comments

  • He finished in 38th for a min cash of $5838.

    Sandy I think you jinxed him :D
  • Yay one min cash for Watts in 20 events. Good thing the WSOP is SO +ev for good players. I'm not knocking Watts but I think Wes sadly underestimates the difficulty.
