Finally I Hooked The Fish!!!

Long story short, Voodoo and I were watching this guy bleed chips off (ASSPOKER) he was at $3500 when we started watching. So, I had to get into the game as it was too good to pass up. It was around $400 avg pot which is INSANE for 2/4 PLO. Anyway, finally I picked up a decent enough hand and got lucky, sure enough, fishy shipped it :) I know I am gonna get reamed for the preflop call against the other guys raise, but here was my thought process. Fish raised EVERY hand, so I knew that was coming regardless (hence my flat call), other guy reraised to isolate (we all wanted to isolate the fish, and the other guy doing the reraising had done that before with some complete crap so though he may have finally picked up a hand, I put their range pretty low and felt I was had a good enough hand to see a flop. Also, I knew fish was VERY UNLIKELY to reraise him, and I had position on the reraiser so I was willing to see a flop. If I hit I knew I was money, but was just as happy folding if I didnt hit (in fact I woulda folded any bet, but it didn't come, so I got a free card), but the way the avg hand played out at this table, you pretty much had to put in a min 100$ preflop to see a flop, the raising was THAT nuts. Here is the hand:

  • Hahahaha nice.. This must have happened just after I called it a night. Did he go completely busto?

This ASS guy played and raised EVERY single hand preflop that I watched for about 5-6 orbits and had about 3200 before bleeding them off slowly.
  • Yea, he went busto. As soon as he was gone the table closed down. I got him for about another $200 in another hand, but this was the big one. People at the table said he lost around $4k.
  • 4k? pretty sick for a 2/4 game I'd think. Yeah I did my degen thing and bet a Japan J2 soccer game and went to sleep, woke up to 2-1 win. So a decent start to the day so far. :)
  • Hahaha nice job!
  • Can anyone loan me 4K? My mortgage payment is due and I lost it somewhere.......
  • Wow, nice win Graham. Nice to see sheep being fleeced so cleanly. Ya gotta wonder how people just piss away $4k so casually. Where oh where does it come from, and why do I have so little of it?

Jeff, if you're losing mortgage payments...I doubt anyone is going to lend you much. You're welcome to get comfy in the doghouse out in my backyard though. If you see a big dog come along...I'd make way for him though. He's not exactly known for sharing.
  • too bad you only had $400 in chips.

Max buy-in at a 2/4 PLO table is $400 unfortunately (in this case at least)
  • Awesome comp, fantastic.

Well done Graham. I don't think anyone will crap on you for making that call preflop. You got into the game to take a shot at the fish. You took a shot. Good job!
