WSOP online coverage

So where is the best place to get the most up to date comprehensive coverage this year. I can't seem to find anywhere that is very good. Last year Cardplayer seemed to be best but this year not so good.

I've been following Pauly's blog for a couple of years now - great writer

I still think Poker News is the best source for updates - sometimes they screw up some details but other than Twitter, you can't really go wrong through Poker News
  • I found this thread on 2+2, you can watch the final tables live if you go to the PRK site.

    WSOP Internet Streaming Schedule
The following is the schedule for live streaming of final tables during the World Series of Poker. For those who do not have ESPN360 or are outside the United States, http:wsop.pkr.com (free registration required) will be the place to watch the final tables on ESPN360. The PKR address will definitely work if you're outside the US, those in the US will find out on Tuesday if PKR works. If you don't see an event listed, that means they're not streaming that final table. The only final tables that will air (no streaming) on the ESPN cable network will be :

    $40,000 NL Holdem
    WSOP Champions Invitational
    Ante Up for Africa
    $10,000 Main Event

  • Most of the pros on Twitter are giving hand-by-hand updates and commentary.

Yep, I plan to do that as well, soon as I figure twitter out.... lol.. wonder how they get away with texting at the tables, maybe they have to leave the tournament floor? Anyone know?

Well it's not like they're texting a pro for help with the hands :D

Jeff I'm JohnnnieH on Twitter, let me know if/when you sign up.
  • Twitting is not allowed at the WSOP tables, along with any electronic device. The players twit during the breaks. I plan to find an Internet PC to post my updates on the forum.

I think it's allowed if they step away from the table or something..just not at table side. But they're also "pros"/"celebrities" and we all know about the double standard floor people have *cough* Hellmuth and Nguyen from 2008

Pretty sure a quick post on to twitter doesn't take too long and can be done easily without being seen.

    ps....It's called TWEET-ING. Not TWIT.

  • PKR has live streaming of several final tables including the $50k HORSE tomorrow.
  • So scoops, you going to hire me and send me to vegas to provide wsop coverage for the forum:biggrin2:
