Hey Ladies

The Great Blue Heron would like to anounce that we have lowered our August Ladies Only Tournament to a $200 + $40 admin fee. We appologize for the high buy-in on the previous event and would like to see you back for another fun event. See attach flyer for details.

    Just an FYI.. your website still shows that its at 500 plus 50 buyin event

    None of them are. The $500+$50 tournaments have a rake of only 9%. By taking only $40 instead of the usual $50, GBH is willing to earn less revenue for the sake of encouraging women players into the poker economy. Good luck to Animaux and other female forumers playing.

    That's kind of like the post office taxing stamps. Left hand stealing from the right. $40 Dollars is a 20% add on for admin. in my world.

    That's correct. What's important to poker players is what percentage of their cost is not going to their prize pool. For example, I paid $550 today for the June 10 tournament and all but $50 of that is going to be paid back to the players, so the fee/rake/juice is 9.1% (50/550).

    16.7% or 20%...BOTH seem like just another way the casino is robbing the poker player.
