I was trying to make everything but a queen fold here and yet have the pot big enough on the turn that I could shove without it looking weird too strong. Bigger flop bet?

Comments
With KK, you wanted 1-2 callers pre-flop and you got them.
There is a bit of danger with that flop, but not a ton.
If you had bet any bigger on the flop, you would more-or-less be announcing to your opponents: "I'm committed to this pot and I will be pushing the rest all-in on the turn / I'll call you right now if you raise me all-in".
If that's what you want to do, be proactive and just shove it all on the flop. I personally think you still want action from one of them (taking your chances) before shoving on the turn.
At the $4.40 buy-in level, your 270 flop bet into a 465 pot (with 535 behind) might get a weak single underpair to (incorrectly) flat call or even get someone to shove all-in with little-to-nothing in hopes of pushing you off AK or a small/middle pocket pair. You got the flat call (normally good) and you just got unlucky. Smile knowing you played well and move on to the next SNG.
