The Poker Project Is Done!!
So...our monthly poker game with friends has now expanded to 14-18 people per session. I had two folding table tops which were fine, but I decided to bite the bullet and build my own 10 man poker table. Thanks to being recently unemployed, and looking up an invaluable teacher named "Mr. Google", I took the best points from multiple table plans and put my plan into action. I' ve attached photos of the finished product.
I also want to thank Bob Crummer from Crummer's Poker Supplies here in Halifax. (By the way, he ships everywhere) Not only did he supply the speed cloth, vinyl, foam, and the ever important beverage holders, but he was nice enough to give some helpful pointers to make the project a success. Hope you all like.

(On a side note, what is that game in the background?)

Awesome job.
The table in the background is called a V-Back Shuffleboard. (If you had the game Rebound as a kid, that is exactly how you play it) You can get smaller versions of it nowadays, but at last count, there were only 117 of the 9ft versions, made by Protocision Engineering based out of Detroit, left in North America. We've had it in the family for over thirty years, and it was made in 1962. Apparently they used to have coin in capabilities and were found in many bars down in the States. I've been offered up to $9000 for it, but it's got too much sentimental value...never mind the fact that most of our friends prefer to play it over the pool table.
Of course, poker is still the number one priority for our games room, but "occasionally" some people tend to sit out a little earlier than they expected, so the pool table, shuffleboard, and darts are there to keep 'em busy till the next buy in!
On a side note, ddmilcan, the speed cloth used is completely teflon coated. Any beverage spills simply "bead up" like rain on a newly waxed car, until you can blot it out. There is no seepage at all. I WISH I had that cloth on my damn pool table...
thanks to a couple of buddies...well, let's just say my cloth has an undeniable scent of Budweiser!

Nice hand, sir.
That is all....
