what is "being a winning player" amount to?

I understand that the basic idea is you win more than you loose, but what should a good player be able to achieve?

For example I play 1T sngs and finish top 3 just over 30% of the time. Usually 2nd. I am up, although not very much. I have been playing these tourneys almost exclusively for the last month. About 50 games.

Is there some kind of benchmark for these kind of tourneys you should strive to achieve? 50% money finishes would be good on 1T sng's.

  • Forget about ITM. Pay more attention to your ROI. For regular speed sng's anything around 20% ROI is considered great. For Turbos, it's slightly less.

Keep in mind though you have a very small sample size (50 games). You really need thousands of games before you can accurately calculate your ROI.
