Well mgm didn't work lastt night. Back at it again right now though. Too many rye and gingers though I thinks.
Uh, the whole idea of the MGM is to TAKE the monies from all the drunk young-uns NOT be one of them!! Were you there the last couple of times I was there? lol...
Save the rye & ginger for the celebration at the out-of-town strip club or Chicken Ranch AFTER you win at poker. Not that I would personally know.... >:D
Although I've only played cash ring games about five times in Vegas, the Excalibur is a no brainer!!! Some don't like the electric tables, but they draw fish to them like a mosquito to one of them "zappers"
The IP usually has an easy 1/2 table as well....lots o drunkards who've had one too many "wobbly pops"
Caesars and Venetian are definitely the spots for 1/2 in my opinon. Lots of games, tons of room to sit while you wait, right next to the sports book, great atmosphere.
Bellagio and Wynn are just way too crowded...waiting for a game takes FOREVER and theres never anywhere to wait and even when your at a table, unless your on the top level of both rooms, you still feel really bunched in.
Not at all wrt poker -- just go when there are some major event going-on. Deepstacks seem to run all month every other month or so, etc...even when Vegas is slow overall 1/2 games are around and always very beatable.
Well finally last night I ended up at the Venitian. I wish I had tried it first. What a great room. Had a good night there too +300. I don't think I will play another room on the strip again... I will just play there.

i would look into the mgm or luxor.
Venetian or Planet Hollywood; PH has a really young crowd although it is best at night time as really slow in the morning.
