Calgary Deep Stack Charity Tourney
Neat idea for a charity tourney at Cash Casino on April 18. They are having 2 tourneys, one Deep Stack for "real" poker players and a shorter stack for newer players.

Registration for this event is simple, send an e-mail to poker@aafscalgary.com Registration will close on April 8, 2009.
All those who register before March 31 will be entered into a draw for 2 Flames tickets (2009-2010 season)
Our annual Poker Tournament has become our most popular participatory fundraiser and it’s time for our 3rd Annual AAFS Poker Classic. The event will run this year at the Cash Casino Calgary on Blackfoot Trail on April 18. There will be a change this year as we will host 2 Poker Tournaments on the same day
DEEP STACK- this is for all those “REAL” poker players who think they should be in Vegas full time playing against the world’s best. This event will copy the format for the World Series of Poker as you will have the chance to start with as many as $10,000 chips!
SHORT STACK- this will be the usual event, more based on fun than actual poker skill. If you are a new or less experienced player and just looking to have some fun and support AAFS, this is the tournament for you.
The formats for each are:
DEEP STACK- $100 Ticket to the event includes food, a drink, gift bag, your poker Buy In and $2000 in tournament chips. Each player is given a pledge form upon registration and for every $50 you collect in pledges, you will receive $1000 in tournament chips to a maximum of $10,000. The blinds will be 30 minutes and follow the World Series of Poker Main Event structure, this is your chance to play in a real, deep stack tournament!
The Deep Stack tournament will begin at 3:00 pm.
SHORT STACK- $50 Ticket to the event includes food, a drink, gift bag, poker buy in and $1000 in tournament chips. Each player is given a pledge form upon registration and for every $50 you collect in pledges, you will receive $500 in tournament chips to a maximum of $5000.
The Short Stack tournament will begin at 7:30 pm.
Airline Travel!! For every $250 you collect in pledges, you will be entered into a draw for Airline travel for 2! This includes all players from both tournaments.
Once you register, you will receive your ticket and pledge form.
Pledges of $20 or more and eligible for a Tax Receipt.
